Install guide

Install Flux.

Flux is a local desktop UI upgrade for Stremio. It does not include streams, media, add-ons, debrid, or subscriptions.

This is the tested install path for the current public checkout ZIP on Mac. Windows validation is in progress; do not buy for Windows yet.

Mac

  1. Download the ZIP after checkout.
  2. Unzip it.
  3. Put license.flux.json in the same folder as the installer.
  4. Open Install Flux for Stremio.command.
  5. Follow the prompts, then reopen Stremio.

If macOS blocks the file, right-click it, choose Open, then confirm you want to open it.

Windows

Validation for Flux 0.4.40 is still in progress. Do not purchase or install this release for Windows yet.

Update Flux

  1. Download the newest ZIP from your checkout or thank-you page.
  2. Extract it.
  3. Put your existing license.flux.json in the new folder.
  4. Run the installer again.
  5. Fully quit and reopen Stremio.

If Stremio changed and Flux cannot patch it, send the compatibility report to support.

Restore

Flux keeps a backup before patching. If anything looks wrong, use the included uninstall/restore script.

  • Mac: open Uninstall Flux for Stremio.command.
  • Windows: run uninstall-windows.cmd.
