Compatibility

Built for Stremio desktop.

Flux 0.4.40 is verified for supported Stremio desktop builds on Mac. Windows validation is in progress; do not buy for Windows yet.

Launch support matrix

  • Flux version: 0.4.40.

  • Current v0.4.40 checkout package proof: July 22, 2026.
  • macOS: verified with Stremio Desktop 5.1.25 on Apple silicon.
  • Windows: validation pending for v0.4.40. Do not purchase for Windows yet.
  • Stremio desktop: supported builds must pass the shell-recognition check before patching.

Not supported

  • Stremio web in a normal browser.
  • Mobile apps.
  • TV apps.
  • Content, streams, add-ons, debrid, or subscriptions.

If Stremio updates

Run the newest Flux installer again after normal Stremio desktop updates. The Mac updater reapplies Flux when the Stremio server file changes and when Flux launches.

If Flux cannot recognize the installed desktop version, restore Stremio and wait for a Flux compatibility update. Do not keep reinstalling if Stremio opens to a blank screen.

Safe failure mode

Flux should stop before patching when the desktop shell is not recognized. Newer installers write flux-compatibility-report.txt so support can see which Stremio bundle was detected and which patch anchors were missing.

What to send support

Send your OS version, Stremio version, Flux version, screenshot, diagnose report from the ZIP, and flux-compatibility-report.txt if it exists. That is what lets compatibility issues become fast fixes.
